As a nation, we are standing at one of the most crucial crossroads in my lifetime.
I don't know about you, but it seems that the world we're living in is an unfamiliar one.
More and more what the mainstream media and culture refer to as "normal behavior"
seems utterly out of touch with everything you and I know is right!
The truth is you're not out of touch, they are! The Word of God cautions us not to
be seduced by the intoxicating attraction of a society that has lost its way. In fact,
2 Timothy 3:1-5 says it this way,
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be
lovers of themselves, lovers of money... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers
of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people
turn away!
Never has there been a time when it is more important for men and women of faith in
Christ and belief in the principles of the Word of God to begin to influence our culture
for good.
But how can you and I be influencers of the culture if we don't know what the Bible
teaches-and what we must do to turn the tide of an increasingly toxic culture? We
must know what the Word says, and we must know how to equip ourselves to resist
the magnetic pull of an increasingly secularized society.
Most importantly, we must know how to defend our children from its attraction.
This is a critical moment in our nation's future. The presidential election has had a
lot to say about change, but we know that the only true and lasting change begins
and ends with the life-changing truth of God's Word - this is an essential tool in your
arsenal against the creeping deception that is so pervasive in our society.

How Will I Be Remembered? - Written by: Rachael
In light of recent events of death surrounding me, I have to stop and ask myself that question - how will I be remembered? Will my years on this earth have made a difference? I can only pray that I have made some small difference in the lives of others in a positive, soulful way that will be my lasting legacy -- after all, everyone’s journey and mission on earth is the same -- to fulfill God’s work by sharing His good news with everyone you communicate with, even if just a brief moment in time. Remember, in order to really experience living, we must die to self and bring glory to Him by going about His business NOT OURS!
"I don't know why I have cancer, and I don't much care. We don't know how the narrative of our lives will end, but we get to choose how to use the interval between now and the moment we meet our Creator face-to-face."

Beacon of Light Song
Perserverance
The eagle who soars over cliffs and valleys
makes heaven his home
Aspiring above
surprising all others who struggle and try
yet fail
The eagle who soars over cliffs and valleys
Transcends over all
though he flies through the cave of darkness
He anticipates a tunnel of hope
The eagle who soars over cliffs and valleys
attempts to glide the gentle wind
though lightning strikes, the rain pours, and thunder crashes
he faces willingly the chance
Unknown dangers
I wish to be like the eagle
who soars over cliffs and valleys
dominating mountains
Approaching caves of darkness
while perceiving a tunnel of hope
I will try
yet fail
sailing upon gusty winds
Soon I will succeed
to be free
to excel and exceed
despite all!

A Minute Never To Be Regained
A minute is a minute
sixty seconds in fact
but once a minute is gone
it can never be brought back
It can be used wisely
or used in vain
it can be spent happily
or spent in pain
What you do in one minute
can change your life
and just as quickly it can end
in just one minute
A minute is just like money
you can spend so much unwisely
but once you've spent all your minutes
there's nothing left
They are gone, forever lost
Not one can be regained
and the one you want to regain
can cause you the most pain
