The soup mobile started with a mobile van feeding the homeless in Dallas,
Texas. With the help of donations and volunteers in the surrounding areas,
it now has a physical building location to serve more than ever before. If you,
your family, or a group would like to donate your time or money to this great
effort, please contact them. You CAN make a difference in the lives of many
by sharing your time!

The Union Gospel Missions serve meals to the homeless, provide a food
pantry for those in need, have a residence shelter, and have many programs
that assist children and families. There are many available opportunities to

Frisco Family Services Center is a non-profit charity that offers many services
including a food pantry, rent/mortgage assistance for qualified families, utility
assistance, prescription assistance, gas vouchers, life skills and job training,
education assistance, various holiday meal projects, a back-to-school supplies
event, and crisis home repair, etc.

FFSC also has a resale store to bring money in to the center for supplies, food,
clothing, etc. The center consists mostly of volunteers serving the metroplex. If
you or a group would like to volunteer your time, make a financial contribution,
donate items needed for the food pantry, donate items needed in order to help
families in need, such as clothing, furniture, hygiene items, diapers, wipes, toys,
etc. please contact them. We appreciate you and your support in any way possible.

** For your convenience, FFSC has a truck that will come and pick-up large donated
items. **

uncontaminated source of water to sub-Saharan Africa by constructing wells

impacted by domestic abuse and provides educational programs that enhance the
community's capacity to respond.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to combat isolation and promote the health,
dignity, and independence of those 60 years or older through meals, education
for their caregivers, and a transit system for all citizens.

Collin County Committee on Aging is best known as the agency that operates
the Meals on Wheels program for Collin County. Meals on Wheels delivers
nutritious noon meals to homebound seniors in Collin County Monday through
Friday.

Carter BloodCare needs volunteers for blood drive events. Also, please volunteer your time and give blood regularly to help save lives that are in desperate need of various blood types. Donating whole blood takes about 15 minutes - everyone can spare this short amount of time every now and again for a great cause! Giving platelets (for leukemia patients) and such requires about 1-2 hours but well worth this investment of time to help someone in crisis. This is an emergency shelter for abused, abandoned, and neglected children ages newborn - 17 years old. This is a temporary home for these kids that provides the basics of food, clothing, shelter, education, medical, dental, and mental help. This is also a foster and adoptive family program as well. There are many volunteer opportunities here - please go to their website or call and help give these kids what you can - time, love, attention, etc.
